Integrative Medicine
Integrative Medicine is the combination of conventional Western
medicine and complementary and alternative medicine treatments,
blended in a personlized way that treats the patient in the most
effective way possible. The practitioner and the patient work
together in the healing process, treating the whole person (mind,
body, spirit, and community) and not just the disease.
The Integrative Medicine practice at the Centers for
Complementary Medicine was established in January of
2012. This practice is based on a combination of visits that
provide information and motivation to facilitate changes for a
healthier lifestyle. It is appropriate for proactive health and
wellness as well as to provide adjunct support with chronic health
conditions. We encourage our patients to get the most out of
their experience by utilizing our Integrative Medicine Package,
which includes:
- 1 hour consultation with our Integrative Medicine Physician,
Dr. Tracy McCubbin
- 1 hour consultation with our Nutritionist, Shari Engkvist
- 30 minute follow-up visit with the Nutritionist
- Demo Kitchen
cooking classes
Patients can also schedule consultations individually with our
Physician or with our Nutritionist.
