Mind-Body Classes
Using mind-body practices to promote health and affect physical
functioning dates back more than 2,000 years. Mind-body practices
include breathing techniques, physical movement and postures, and
meditation or relaxation techniques. We continue to use these
methods today for stress reduction, physical health, and to enhance
our overall sense of well-being.
The mind-body classes offered at Kaiser Permanente include:
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Improve your ability to manage the physical and psychological
symptoms associated with chronic illness, chronic pain, anxiety,
depression, and stress-related conditions using meditation and
stress reduction techniques.
Yoga: Beginning
Learn the basics of yoga. Feel free to take this class more than
once.
Yoga: Senior
Recommended for seniors new to yoga who wish to enhance their
strength, flexibility, and balance.
Yoga for Stress
Reduction
Use yoga to help avoid, manage, and release stress in the mind and
body.
Movement and Balance with Tai
Chi
Learn movements to increase your balance and stability. All levels
are welcome.
Chi Gung
Practice steady, flowing movements and deep breathing to promote
strength, flexibility, relaxation and balance. All levels are
welcome.
Learn to
Meditate
Manage your stress, think more clearly, and restore balance
through meditation. Easy to learn- no prior experience needed.

Workshop
Meditation is a great way to renew and find peace. This workshop
introduces you to basic meditation methods and theory.
