A Note from CCM Leadership
Though a joyous time for most, some folks tend to suffer from
the "Holiday Blues". Shorter days, hectic schedules and spending
more money than we have can lead to increased stress at this time
of year. So here are a few tips to help the season be merry:
-
Skip the sweets, go for the salmon instead. Omega 3's are
helpful in combating depression.
-
Get some sunshine. Bundle up and go outside!
-
Drink lots of water, limit alcohol intake. Alcohol can be a
depressant and can disrupt sleep patterns.
-
Make time for regular exercise, the natural endorphins produced
will do you a world of good.
-
Do not go to the party hungry, have a healthy snack prior to
arrival. Think moderation.
-
Slow down and BREATHE.
-
Be thankful. List 3 things you are grateful for each and every
day.
We wish you a safe, healthy and happy Holiday Season!

Thanksgiving Thoughts
During the week of Thanksgiving I like to
take a minute to appreciate how thankful I am that I get to do what
I love everyday and help so many people. Though every patient
has their own story and personal reasons for seeking out the
services of the Complementary Medicine Department, each one is a
new reminder of how much our health matters.
Some patients rely on chiropractic care to help them handle
daily symptoms of injury or overuse. The pain, numbness, and
tingling sensations they experience are enough to prevent them from
living their daily lives with full function and often cause them
discomfort that is unbearable.
Other patients rely on chiropractic treatments to maintain their
high level of fitness. Although these patients don't have any
debilitating symptoms, they rely on our care to stay at their peak
level of health. They want to relieve every trace of muscle
tightness and possible nerve impingement to keep them at the top of
their game.
Although two very different groups of patients, I am equally
thankful that I am able to provide services that cover each of
their needs. I love being a part of a system that encourages
our patients to conquer all of their health and wellness goals, and
one that stands by their side offering the tools they need to
succeed.
I hope everyone takes some time this week to remember what they
are truly thankful for - perhaps while on a walk or jog tomorrow
morning before all those family feasts! Happy
Thanksgiving!
